1. Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, and Youth Protection Training are self-taught and self-tested on computers. You may do this at home before UOS or at UOS. You will need the number on your Adult Volunteer Card that is given to you each year by your Unitl Leader. This number registers you with the National Scout Office. By going to a National Scout Office web site, learning the material, and passing the test, you will be certified at the National Scout Office in the course you took.

3. Red Cross First Aid Certification is being taught at the University of Scouting by a registered Red Cross Instructor. The fee is an extra $20.00 for this class

4. Adult CPR is being taught at the University of Scouting by certified instructors. The fee is an FREE this year for this class. The class is being taught at the Alabama Fire College which is next to Shelton State Community College.
